Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Mario Brkaric, established the Indiana Spine Center along with his esteemed colleague Dr. John Gorup, as a place where innovative technology and best-practice medicine could come together and offer the state's finest in neck and spine care.
Dr. Brkaric completed his residency at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center Downstate Medical Center of Brooklyn. He went on to complete his fellowship in orthopaedic surgery of the spine at William Beaumont Hospital, one of only thirteen accredited fellowship training programs in the United States. In 2010, Dr. Brkaric was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). With both national and international recognition, Dr. Brkaric is the author of numerous articles published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Serving people and their loved ones from Lafayette, Crawfordsville, Rensselaer, and Logansport, Indiana, Dr. Brkaric offers several surgical and non-surgical approaches for the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves. His areas of expertise include spinal deformity, degenerative conditions, spinal trauma, minimally invasive technology, and dynamic and motion preserving technology.
Dr. Brkaric takes the necessary time to listen to his patients concerns, explain diagnostics, and treatment recommendations.
I have recommended Dr. Brkaric to many of my friends and family members and will continue to do so.
