He was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) on March 10, 2010, during ceremonies at the Academy's 2010 Annual Meeting in New Orleans. An orthopaedic surgeon is a physician with extensive training in the diagnosis and non-surgical as well as surgical treatment of the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves. Dr. Brkaric has authored numerous articles in peer reviewed medical journals. His work has been presented nationally and internationally. His areas of expertise include deformity, degenerative conditions, spinal trauma, minimally invasive technology, and dynamic and motion preserving technology. |




Dr. Mario Brkaric is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon. He completed his residency at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn, Downstate Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic surgery of the spine at William Beaumont Hospital, one of only thirteen accredited fellowship training programs in the United States.
