gorupDr. John Gorup was North Central Indiana’s first fellowship trained, board certified Orthopaedic spine surgeon. He has practiced in Lafayette since 1997. Dr. Gorup attended the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He served his residency at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Downstate, Brooklyn.

Dr. Gorup is a fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the North American Spine Society. He has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has contributed to several published texts. Dr. Gorup has presented his work nationally and internationally and is on the teaching faculty for some of the world’s largest spinal implant manufacturers, where he also serves as a product consultant. He is technical advisor to the area’s only spinal biomechanics lab.

His areas of expertise include degenerative conditions and deformity of the cervical and lumbar spines. He also performs minimally invasive spinal procedures including microdiscectomies, kyphoplasty and pedicle screw placement.

Dr. Mario Brkaric PDF Print E-mail
brkaricDr. Mario Brkaric is a board eligible, fellowship trained orthopaedic spine surgeon. He completed his residency at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn, Downstate Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic surgery of the spine at William Beaumont Hospital, one of only thirteen accredited fellowship training programs in the United States. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has authored numerous articles in peer reviewed medical journals. His work has been presented nationally and internationally.  His areas of expertise include deformity, degenerative conditions, spinal trauma, minimally invasive technology, and dynamic and motion preserving technology.
